The new life.

Art by Lang Leav

 I chopped my long hair.
Got a new job.
Moved to a  different city.
Made new friends.
Kissed a few men and
Left before they even began to feel my warmth.
I live like a stranger these days.
I live in between lights and shadows.
Between all the laughter, clinking glasses and stained lips.
Between wrinkled sheets in beds and sometimes in the arms of random people.
From the girl with cherry-smelling hair to the girl whose hair smells of remnants of a drunken night
I’ve changed.
